For those of you keeping track (or maybe you've subscribed to our blog via RSS, waiting for the next posting...) - it was the third mowing of the season today - April 2nd.
No photos (see Yard Work 2008 #1 and you'll get the idea) this time. The weather was nice yesterday, today, and supposedly going to be great tomorrow. Then it will be followed by rain again. So - the grass needed attention this week or it would soon be a tangled, wet, jungle.
I'm still on a mission to kill the moss . The iron rich fertilizer does the trick, but there is a lot of it. The dandelions, clover, and other miscellaneous weeds are also trying to get a foothold. But I've got my eye (and Fred Meyer broadleaf weed killer) on them.
Now - go back to your life. Yard work is no fun. Though I guess you'd have more fun reading about my work than doing your own. Having a BBQ while the sun sets across a freshly cut lawn, however, is fun. Here's to the coming summer!
